It’s Thursday workout day here at iheartclev. I’ve packed my clothes and am headed to the gym after work to jump on the cycle bike and rock out with some other fabulous CLE ladies; can’t wait!
Today I want to introduce you to a little gem of a fitness studio that just opened in Lakewood. The Movement Factory was founded by dancer, pilates instructor and fitness guru Alyssa Lee Wilmot. While she is small in stature Alyssa can kick your butt…hard (speaking from experience.) The studio is clean and bright with large windows to letting lots of natural light. During my booty boot camp class, I really enjoyed the ballet barre part of class over looking Lakewood’s’ Madison Park a nice view while your calves burn to death. Alyssa has all new shiny equipment, awesome taste in tunes and is overall an inspiration to all of us. Get healthy, have fun and inspire others!
Morning CLE. How was your Monday? I know many of you cringe at the idea of getting back to work, but I really enjoy the routine of it all. Getting up around the same time, making coffee, getting to work, enjoying lunch, more time for work, a bit of time for working out and them home to enjoy the night. Not that I don’t love a long vacation, but back to routine is good with me right now.
I keep meaning to tell you all about one of the most glittery and sparkly, princess packed events in town end of this week…On Friday; January 11th Disney princesses will be arriving at the Q Arena for the ‘Rockin’ Ever After” the ultimate rock start princess experience around. (see I told you it might be time for a man’s perspective here at “iheart”) This action-packed skating spectacular features world-class skaters from the hit animated films Brave, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. The show features classic and new Disney princesses – Belle, Ariel and Rapunzel – who rock out with show stopping performances. The show also features “rock star” tunes to keep all of us engaged in the princess overload! :)
Rockin’ Ever After is the newest Disney On Ice production and has never travelled to Cleveland before, be sure to get tickets today as this event is every little girls dreams and will sure to sell out!
Living in Cleveland there is always SO MUCH to do when it comes to planning my weekends. Some people might think there is nothing going on, but I beg to differ, I can barely squeeze in a load of laundry with all the super fun activities that are going on…
> Swoosh, woosh and fly like a bird…well almost! (Tobogganing is fun!)
> Indulging in a plethera of sale coupons
> A nibble of Strawberries & Pink Champagne AND a bite of MSC Fluff
> A sale and some “pleasing” snack with RS
> A dance with my dog!!!
> Get my “bollywood” on!
> Making a birdie sling with some fabulous friends.
> Supposedly there is a big football game on?
What will you be doing this weekend? Celebrating family & friends? Shopping for a fancy dress? Sipping a hot toddy or two? Fill me in on what I am missing!
Another chilly winter weekend in Cleveland…how I love how shiny the world is with a little coating of ice. My friend Henry once said that I must have been a crow in a past life as I am constantly attracted to anything glittery, sparkly or shimmery…so needless to say, a dusting of light snow makes my heart skip a beat!
Although this weekend is predicted to be an extra cold one, there are many activities to keep us indoors all warm and cozy. around town. I’m going to try and hit a few of these hot spots this last weekend in January…can you believe it’s almost February?
A new season at MOCA means an Opening Night Celebration. Art. Music. A killer gift shop!
A drink with the new Dante.
Arabesques, padashas and pliés at Playhouse Square featuring the Bill T. Jones & Arnie Zane Dance Company
Hot Haitian Nights….a Benefit to Help Rebuild Haiti Saturday night at the Speakeasy (under the Beer Market) 8pm. $10 suggested donation to benefit Habitat for Humanity International and their efforts to help the people of Haiti rebuild their lives.
Two games are better than one! (Cavs play tonight AND Sunday!)
I’m THANKFUL it’s the weekend. The weekend before the “Week of Thanks”… So many things to get done before December madness strikes!
Here is what I am planning to do…hope I can squeeze it all in.
