You can choose to take Lolley the Trolley around while exploring the neighborhood or wander on foot to discover small details you may have overlooked if by car. It really is a wonderful late morning/afternoon Sunday happening. Pair it with a bubbly brunch at Market Garden, Flying Fig or Le Petit Triangle (get a reservation now!) and your are in for a sure Sunday funday!

Many of you might know this about me but I am a total art geek. Thanks to my Mom, I spent my childhood growing up with a craft box under my bed. My Saturday mornings were spent in painting classes with other “free spirit”kids and by the time I reached college I was attending gallery openings in my down time, hanging out in the painting lofts of fellow art school students and taking extra credits in anything from silk screen to stained glass. As a professional graphic designer I feel lucky each day that I get to create visual inspiration for a living.   Giveaway : Tri-C JazzFest

Good morning CLE & happy TAX Day! Hope everyone got by without owing too much to “the man” this year. Perhaps you’ve even received a refund…time to shop! :)

Did you know that this week kicks off the JazzFest? Last year I had the pleasure of attending the Tri-C JazzFest for the very first time. I saw the very talented, stunning and engaging artist Diana Krall at one of the many concerts during the week of live music presented by the JazzFest.

Now is your turn to win a pair of tickets and experience for yourself just how great this annual event really is.

Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland features jazz performances, classes, lectures, and many other concert and community outreach activities. Local and national artists teach, compose, arrange, and perform. Concerts take place at PlayhouseSquare, the Metropolitan Campus of Cuyahoga Community College, and the new MOCA Cleveland. This year, the show is running from April 19 thru May 4.

In addition to the show, there is an Opening Night Party on April 19 to kick off the festival! The party will be held at Playhouse Square in the State Theatre Lobby from 5-7pm and is sponsored by Great Lakes Brewing Company. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature live music by Detroit’s Nadir & Distorted Soul. After the party, the fest will kick off with performances by Aaron Neville and Dr. John at 8pm!

Happy Monday all you Cleveland lovers, hope you everyone managed to get some rest after that steaming hot halftime show. I mean whether you like her voice or not, that girl was on fire for sure. No need to really talk about the actual game; however I did enjoy all the twitter activity when the lights went out during the second half of the game..WOW.

Today I have a very big treat for one lucky reader. For over ten years I have had my hair cut, colored, trimmed, curled, poufed and more by one special lady. She has done the hair for my sisters who sometimes fly from across the country for a new ‘do just for her style and talent with hair of all types. As a recent mom balancing work and life was a concern for her and so she did what any rational person might do…start her own business? Yes, my friend Tiffani has recently founded LovLox the perfect chair to relax into, to get those InStyle waves, to achieve that rocking Valentines Day red head ‘do or a new pixie cut for spring.   CAVS tickets & leg lamp bobble giveaway!

Today I have something really fun to tell you about….Key Bank in partnership with our Cavs are doing a series of really clever events to celebrate the home team as well as engage us…the fans over the holiday season.

On Wednesday, December 5th (gametime @ 8pm) the Cavs will play the Bulls. In  addition to some bball action and scream team fun, attendees will have the opportunity to text to win a “Bobble Leg Lamp” made famous by the holiday cult classic  ”A Christmas Story.”  I hear that there will be pink bunnies roaming the bleachers and sidelines just waiting to giveaway this “fragi-lay” prize.   Fun at the Art Museum : giveaway!

Good afternoon all you art lovers out there. Have you heard about the young art lovers “Bamboo Groove” party going on at the Cleveland Museum of Art THIS Friday? It’s going to be a really great not-to-be missed evening.

Celebrating the newest exhibit, “Chinese Art in an Age of Revolution; Fu Baoshi” this party will encompass everything the artists would have mandated in his own parties. Supposedly, Fu Baoshi often painted after drinking to express his true feelings in his work, I like the way he thinks, wink.

Anyhow, the party on Friday includes various art activities lots of Chinese takeout, cash bar cocktails and experts on hand for Q&A. The event is from 6-8:45 pm. Tickets are $18 which includes admission, food and arts activities. It’s going to be a fun time for sure. Get your tickets here!
