While it isn’t a holiday weekend, with the quiet week…it totally seems like everyone has flown the coop. While it is a bit “sleepy town” there are still plenty of fun things happening around town this weekend…here are just a few!
> There is an art opening at the new Buck Buck Gallery (3910 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113) this Friday night. Pfffft… kicks off at 7pm and showcases the work of four visiting artists. Check out their site for details.
> If you are the mood to get creative with food…write up a recipe or two for the LAND Studio’s Cleveland Cookbook submission contest. Peirogies, stadium mustard, pita…all flavors and spicy submissions welcome. To access the official entry form click here!
> Take me out to the ballpark! The Tribe is in town all weekend, playing against the Rays. Nothing beats an American holiday more than baseball and a soft pretzel. Get your tickets today!
> Summertime also brings to mind being a kid and how cool I thought trains were…random… Anyhow, why not pack a picnic this weekend and hop aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad for one of their excursions through Northeast Ohio! Take a look at their site for times and tickets.
> Did I mention Def Leppard is playing Friday at Quicken Loans Arena. Enough said. :)
> Oh and don’t forget all the awesome farmers markets around town including the North Union Farmers Market at both Shaker Square and Crocker Park. It’s that time of year when all the fresh herbs and veggies are rearing their little happy selves.
There is so much to do…however, if you want to do nothing else than to pick up your favorite book, pour yourself a tall (vodka) lemonade and hit the front porch for an afternoon of rest and relaxation; that sounds delightful! Happy Weekend my friends, go enjoy yourself some Ohio summer.
