A Holiday wrapping morning with Target

Good afternoon Cleveland. Wasn’t last nights snow so pretty? While many of us navigated the slick roads home with white knuckles, this mornings shimmer on the ground made it so worth it. Last night I was able to go out and complete my shopping for my family stocking (we randomly choose one family member every year to do their stocking) as well as cross off a few other key gifts. I would say I’m 89% completed with just a few more special things to pick up.

Last weekend I invited a few gal pals over on Sunday morning for a chance to catch up during the busy holiday season, drink some holiday cheer and get a jump on our holiday wrapping. It seriously was such a relaxing way to spend time together I would highly recommend such a gathering.

I was able to get all the necessities at “my Tarjay” prior to the ladies coming over. We had candy cane flavored coffee complete with whip cream and peppermint sticks, some homemade blueberry muffins, a few Simply Balanced granola bars and fruit snacks and of course there was chocolate…lots of it!

I had all the wrapping fixings ready for my guests (except for tape, which I forgot. Thanks Suzanne for bringing yours!) There was a plethora of wrapping papers, ribbons, tags, bows, some gift bags and gift card holders…we all had a field day with our wrappings.

I choose a pretty graphic assortment of red and white polka dot wrappings. I think some of the papers might have even been from our hometown hero; American Greetings (sold at Target.) I used adorable glitter stockings as tags for the lucky gift recipient’s, they will love them.

We enjoyed a bit of Elf on a Shelf (yes, even adults love a good elf drama) and of course another holiday movie favorite; Love Actually.

All the breakfast merriment and creative wrapping with friends tuckered out my little pug-elf  and so he napped while we wrapped. (Elf costume also available at Target, but was loaned to Franklin from his friend Bacon.)

So the moral of this story is that even wrapping presents can be fun when you do it with friends. Run over to “your” Target and pick up some holiday snacks, gather some of their amazing wrappings and trim and invite a handful of friends over to make the annual “task” a pure delight!

*This post is brought to you in collaboration with Target. They provided many of the snacks from their new Fresh Market; including the Simply Balanced, Archer Farms and Lindt products as well as much of the wrapping papers, tags, bows, labels and even a copy of Elf on a Shelf DVD. All content, ideas, and words are my own. Thanks for supporting this sponsor that allow me to create special content like this for iheartcleveland!
