  Absolutely awesome!

Happy November 1st Clev-pals. Where has this year gone? Can you believe we are in the beginning of holiday season? I heart this time of year so very much. The pumpkins, the fall colors, the crunchy leaves, the smell of cinnamon, I can go on and on.

The other day, the sky was blue, the air was crisp and I found myself wandering through a rather quiet Cleveland street. Admiring the sunshine I gazed up and discovered another example of amazing Cleveland artwork…history.

Can you guess where this “absolutley fireproof” building artwork is? Hint, perhaps you’ve had coffee somewhere close by?

And while I’m loving fall, loving November and feeling extra in love with my city, I want to thank you today for taking time out of your day to read this blog. Sometimes you forget to tell people how much you care…so thanks. If I can ever be of help to you don’t hesitate to shout!

  Stash Style Sale

This weekend marks the inaugural Stash Style home SALE. If you remember, this past April, my friend closed her Chagrin Falls Store to look for a new way of doing business..hence the sale events were born.

Join her this Friday evening for the kick off preview sale (including live music under an evening rain-proof tent!) from 5-9pm and the official sale Saturday from 10-5 at her urban-chic Rocky River Home located at 780 Bates Road. Shop till you drop!

Can’t make it this weekend but would like to be notified of future sales? Drop a note to stashstyle@yahoo.com.

  PechuKucha Cleveland

Hey Cleveland, a quick reminder to enter to win TEDxCLE tickets…we received a lot of great posts yesterday, so pass it along and keep ’em coming.

Now onto today…or rather THIS FRIDAY…I am looking forward to PechaKucha Cleveland, Volume 12. What is PechaKucha you ask? It’s a fun night filled with a series of short presentations where each presenter shows 20 images, each for twenty seconds. Short and sweet, creative infusion, contagious excitement with a cash bar on the side.

What gets me really excited for this Friday’s event is the location, the vacant and forgotten space on the top floor of the Higbee Building. They say the space hasn’t been open to the public since Higbee’s closed, a vintage adventure in downtown Cleveland. I can hardly wait!

To check out the presenters, to register (it’s FREE!) and to pass along the invite for the party visit their facebook page. Doors open at 7, presenters begin at 8:20! See you there.

  Holiday Saturday.

There is lots to do this weekend in Cleveland.

With only 23 days until Christmas some of us may be pulling out the holiday decorations this weekend, making a gift shopping list, if you are ahead of the curve perhaps you are starting to wrap and bow each gift with care and delight. Myself I need to make a list, check it twice and get wrapping!

If you don’t have a special something from your sweetie, stop by the holiday hot toddy party at the Banyan Tree on Saturday afternoon. I went last year and it was such a wonderful little party complete with cocktails and chocolate dipped strawberries. I bought a handful of unique gifts for my family and some awesome holiday cards as well.

If you are into getting bundled up, put on your matching scarf, mitten and hat set and head out to Ohio City for their Annual Holiday Home Tour. Showcasing the homes on Whitman Avenue, this tour is sure to sell out. I love to see the various, over the top decorations. The residents really put their best feet forward and open their homes to share in the holiday spirit.

The annual Art & Craft Building artist studio sale is also this weekend. I especially LOVE this sale. It’s such a wonderful way to explore the individual creative spaces. I will definitely carve out time for this show. Although I haven’t really purchased much from it, as someone who appreciates great talent, this show is an inspiration!

Don’t forget free yoga at Inner Bliss Yoga all day on Saturday!

Looking to head west? The shops of downtown river are hosting their annual holiday walk from 11-4pm. Merchants including Paper Trails, Mitchell Sotka Antiques, and the Girl Next Door, will offer discounts, prizes, face painting, pet photos with Santa and more!

Then there is a Browns game on Sunday. Find yourself a cozy couch and get writing those holiday cards with McCoy and his crew.

Whatever your weekend plans are…get out and enjoy the chilly Northern Ohio Weather. Any excuse to bundle up is great with me! :)
