Hey CLE! I don’t know about you but I feel like 2018 has been the year of amazing pizza shops popping up in the 216! So many great small business owners making artisanal, wood-fired creations…so many pizzas, so little time.
One of my recent go-to’s is the Gordon Square neighborhood’s; Il Rione. Did you know the word ‘rione’ loosely translates to district/neighborhood from Italian? This neighborhood Italian pizzeria serves more than just really good pizza, personally, I love their arugula salad.
Planning on visiting on the weekend? Get their early as this intimate restaurant can fill up fast. I love to sit at the bar and enjoy a Negroni while we wait!
Have you been to Il Rione yet? What is YOUR favorite new CLE pizza must?
Happy Thursday everyone!
Morning CLE, have you had a nice short week? So far so good here. Have you had a chance to enter the not one, but TWO giveaways this week? If not take a look at the last few posts and enter to win a $100 gift certificate to Provenance and/or a season pass to Yoga in the Park!
Also, I just heard from the gang over at the Cleveland Museum of Art and I can barely contain my excitement by telling you there are ONLY 250 tickets left for the almost sold out Summer Solstice PARTY! So, if you have any inkling to attend the party of the summer, get our tickets TODAY!
For those of us who already bought our tickets, the next big decisions is WHAT TO WEAR? In the past few years I’ve noticed a great blend of attendees in very formal dresses to the younger crowd in cooler summer casual wear. Myself I love a good maxi dress, something that I can wear summer flats with…I don’t want my heals to get suck in the grass while dancing the night away.
Hey guys, did you know it’s supposed to reach almost 74 degree’s today? Crazy nice summer weather but it might just be time to click on that AC to keep your home and ride chill…
This is another shot from by cruise down Superior Ave the other evening, the hand lettering and bold colors pulled me in. Made me wonder about who designed that sign and the Clevelanders who painted it…because it’s awesome. As a designer I tend to gravitate towards modern, clean and simple signs and such. However with this sign the retro charm, the funky type and the no fuss design is super impressive, i heart it. Next time you need an expert air conditioning service, you should totally take a ride Brunkow’s…if nothing else than to check out the sign! Keep cool Cleveland, and GO TRIBE!
Happy Tuesday yall. Fun stuff today at “iheart” the guys of GV Art & Design have offered one lucky reader one of their stylish and well-designed CLE shirts.
I picked out a few of my favorites to share and show today. From all the non-sensical weather we’ve been having, to celebrating Superman to a chic “lovely” shirt, these three are just a sampling of all their great work. You can see them all at their online store here.
To win one of their t-shirts tweet me (@iheartclev) which @gvartwork shirt you would proudly wear. (ex : @iheartclev, I heart the “Totem Pole” tee made by @gvartwork!) Winner will be drawn on April 30th. Good luck to you.
So as someone with lots of interests, I tend to follow various local businesses on all sorts of social media platforms. How about you?
I’ve gotta say, someone who does a really good job at utilizing facebook is local skate shop West Side Skates. From their weekly new cool sneaker posts, to featuring area skaters & events they are constantly rocking their fb page.
The other day the photo above caught my eye of Brad skating through our state. I just had to share this bit of ink with you all today.
As summer begins to show it’s pretty head, this usually means more skin, which means more ink to share and show. If you have a great tattoo that you want to share, and it somehow reflects our city/state send it my way at email@example.com and we will do our best to share it! Peace.
