Happy Hearts Day!

It’s the weekend of love. Filled with chocolate hearts, dozens of red roses, a fluffy teddy bear and perhaps a decadent dinner out with your sweetie.

If you are looking for a few not so traditional “happy hearts day” celebrations I have a few suggestions for all you Cleveland romantics out there.

Open Your Heart Chakra – get all warm and bendy with your super crush at The Studio Cleveland. February 13th, Sunday night from 5-8pm. While you are there, pick up a one of a kind piece of jewelry by Modern Pixie to give to your sweetie. I love Judy’s jewelry creations, any lady friend would too!

L’Albatros Valentines Day Salon – a good friend, a bottle of wine and some insane creamy french cheese, sounds like the best hearts day date ever. The “Salon” will highlight sweet aphrodisiac’s including four dessert courses. There will be some actual savory appetizers, lots of wine pairings and live music as well. This event is sure to sell out, see if you can catch a table while there are still spots available.

Does your sweetie like to cook? To bake? To try new techniques, make new friends and enjoy’s food? Why not reserve a seat at one of Gatherings Kitchens, “L’Oven in the Kitchen” supper club Fridays. I swear, you will really learn to cook a thing or two PLUS, the food is scrumptious and the space…uber romantic.

Be Studios has a few spots available for this weekend. Call and schedule a special sauna, facial and massage for you and your honey. This place, although simply gorgeous is masculine enough to bring along any guy pal in your life and not scare them with the idea of a spa experience.

Do you and your snuggle bug like a good laugh? Have you heard of Last Call Cleveland the areas best comedy troupe? Spend your Saturday night with the famous Mike Polk, as he releases his newest cd. The troupe is hilarious, the insider Cleveland jokes are silly, I can only imagine what this evening experience will be like. Did you know a good laugh is an aphrodisiac? So I hear.

Last but certainly not least…Gnomeo & Juliet. Pack your (wine) juice boxes and a few special Lilly’s Chocolates, grab a BFF and head to the theatres. Oh, and BTW, Cleveland Cinematheque is also showing Breakfast at Tiffany’s if you are looking for more of a vintage chic film for your special date night out.

So, those are a few picks for the not so traditional Valentines Day celebrations. What do you have planned? Anything fun you want to add to the list? I heart you Cleveland, you are the apple of my eye…will you be mine? :)
