Michael Pomerantz : paintings

Happy warm spring day to you! How was your weekend? Good? Mine was relatively quiet, lots of spring cleaning and dog sitting but with a SMASHING evening out at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. It was awesome!!!! A five hour show filled with great tribute speeches (Bette Midler) surprise appearances (Kid Rock,  Sara Bareilles & Carol King)  and amazing performances (Beastie Boys & Donovan). Thank you Rock Hall staff for putting on this amazing event for Cleveland. Saturday night the city was alive and totally rock n roll, you guys outdid yourselves. To catch the five hour show (in a two hour special) tune into HBO on May 5th.

Now onto the paintings at the coffee shop…I walked into Root Cafe for a morning cup of joe and fell instantly in love with the work of Michael Pomerantz. His candy-colored architectural paintings of the neighborhood streets and the urban communities took my breathe away. His use of colors brightened my morning, the scale of the homes, the charming tree-lined streets, it was enough to stop me in path and spend some time exploring each canvas.

To see Michael’s paintings, stop by Root Cafe or visit his website. He truly is one talented painter I just adore his work! Thank you Michael for allowing me to share with iheartclecveland readers.
