My 4 favorite coffee shops & my new HP Pavilion x360

This post has been written as a #bendtherules moment created in partnership with @HP

Hello & happy Friday friends. Lots of fun “Hearts Day” plans? I’m going to do a bit of “gal-entines” celebrating, a romantic dinner with some of my favorite Cleveland peeps and then  a bit of family fun time at the Art Museum on Sunday…this weekend is going to be lovely.

On a typical weekend we like to go for coffee at one of the many coffee shops in our city. From Lakewood, to Ohio City to Tremont and back to Rocky River, we will go wherever the java is brewing. Besides our weekend coffee adventures I also do a lot of work and blogging in said coffee shops around town. My typical order? A medium skim latte (sometime I add a touch of sugar free vanilla!) What’s your coffee of choice?

Today I’m going to share with you my top 4 coffee shops (& bakeries) in and around the 216 starting with one of our go-to’s…Blackbird Bakery.

Blackbird is such a treat. Their bakery creations along with their coffee drinks are truly artisanal in all definitions of the word. I often make client meetings there when my sweet tooth kicks in, their raspberry jammers are the perfect cure.

Recently I had a few thank you notes to write and I wanted to spend a bit of time exploring my new  HP Pavilion x360 so I made time to get up a bit early and head on over to Blackbird before work. This new HP Pavilion x360 is not your expected personal computer. It’s designed with a detachable keyboard giving me four awesome “modes” to work, blog and play in. From your traditional laptop to tablet to tent and stand I’m really enjoying exploring all the possibilities…now back to “Blackbird.”

If you are ever in need of the perfect place to stop in and grab a tasty gift for a friend…say perhaps Valentine’s Day…Blackbird is simply one of the best.

My next favorite cup-of-joe special hideaway is the somewhat new Phoenix Coffee in Ohio City. The lattes are made with love…each cup the perfect coffee art, plus their barristas couldn’t be nicer.

Phoenix also has a yummy selection of baked cookies, muffins, croissants and more. If you are looking for a special coffee-shop-hideaway add this Cleveland hot spot to your list

My third favorite coffee hot spot around town is Erie Island Coffee Co. in Rocky River (although I also love their location on East 4th.) We sometimes meet with clients their, have presentations their (the tent version of the HP works great for that) and we especially love their mozzarella panini they make.

My forth and final favorite coffee shop in CLE is LOOP in Tremont. I love spending time writing at LOOP and their fresh roasted beans make for an amazing cup of coffee.

So…not only do I drink A LOT of coffee, but I love to “bend the rules” by working with my new HP Pavilion x360 (in any of it’s 4 modes) out of the studio in any of these coffee-lovers-locations.

In the spirit of bending the rules…HP has partnered with Meghan Trainor (All about that Bass, no treble!) to document her first-ever tour with “All About That Tour,” in a six episode documentary of the “That Bass” Tour. From Vancouver to Nashville, they’ll have a camera crew and some of our favorite fans to help bring the tour to life. In each episode, they’ll offer a glimpse at what goes on behind the scenes–focusing on everything from tour life to the tour’s costumes. For more information on Meghan and her upcoming tour visit the special site here! (Note, to see Meghan up close and personal you’ll have to road trip to either Detroit or Chicago)

So…with all that said. Enjoy your Valentines Day weekend, get out their and explore all of our amazing local coffee shops and make sure to tell your friends and family you love them! XO
