Hey all, happy Wednesday to ya. Hope the first half of your week has been going smoothly. It’s been a wild one over in my neck of the woods. Still cleaning up from the previous weekend, prepping for upcoming weekend visitors, and dealing with computer fun at work…never a dull moment…except when i’m sleeping…
Which brings me to today’s little post…do you sleep in official pajama’s? You know like a cute little set, something cotton with a pretty print or sometimes masculine in cut; boxy button down and baggy, straight leg pants? A good matching set of new crisp pajamas are my ultimate sleep solution…guarantee’s a great night of good dreams for me.
The reason I am talking pj’s today is in preparation for this Saturday’s annual Century Cycles Pajama Party Night Ride, a nightime 12 mile bicycle ride in your bedtime clothes to benefit Project Night Night.
What could be better than riding the tow path, on your bike, in your sleep clothes with hundreds of other pj-wearing cyclists..I can think of nothing as cooler. Project Night Night helps homeless youth have sweeter dreams by donating a bag filled with all things sleep related…a teddy bear, blanket, a book and many other kid friendly before bed needs. Its a great way to ensure the youth of our community who are without a solid home life have the same childhood bedtimes memories as we did. If you are interested in learning more about them, check out their organization here.
If I was to buy some new pj’s for the big ride I found a handful of styles that you’d find me in..complete with helmet and bright night light…the tow path get’s really dark at night.
A) Flora & Fauna Lounge pants from Anthropologie
B) J. Crew “Vintage” Night Blue Pajamas
C) Girly pink polka dot sleep set from Nordstrom
D) Organic Cotton Soft Pink BIKE PRINTED Pajamas (perfection!) from Garnet Hill
E) Victoria Secret, star gazer dreamer pajama set.
So whether you like a mathcing set of cotton pajamas, or your more of a silk slip type of sleeper or maybe you just wear an old race t-shirt to sleep in, plan to be at this Saturday Nights ride, kicking off at 8pm, complete with slumber party snacks, movies and “Spin the Water bottle.”
For more ride details visit the Century Cycles site. Happy riding in your pj’s…happy Wednesday to all.
