  Hodges Lunchbox & giveaway updates

Hodges_lunchboxHey CLE! How is your week going? Already dreaming of this weekends Brown’s game? Or  perhaps a fall clam bake? Or just time with family & friends? Looks like it’s gonna be a great week and weekend for some fall fun.

The other day I got to have lunch with a good gal pal and I just had to share how cute the “lunchbox” at Hodges Cleveland was. The popcorn decoration on my corn soup was a very pretty touch, the pulled pork sandwich filling and the side salad fresh and delicious. They do a great quick lunch…plus we got to sit outside, plus they offer complimentary underground parking…what could be better?

A bit of blogkeeping…I have TWO active giveaways at the moment. The first is a pair of tickets to The Key for The Cure hosted by our own Saks Fifth Avenue. To enter to win please visit the new Saks Beachwood facebook page, LIKE them and then let me know you did by tweeting me “@iheartclev I liked @Saks & would LOVE to attend Key to the Cure.” Winner to be notified by Friday, October 11th.

The second is a party pack with fun things from our “man-child” party and the The Land of Nod.  Just tweet me“@iheartclev I’d love a few party props from @TheLandofNod for my next bash!”  The winner will be drawn by random end of day Tuesday, October 15th. So enter today, enter often!

Enjoy the rest of your evening and enjoy this wonderful weather. :)

  Cibréo

Cibreo

The other evening I had the pleasure of experiencing Chef Scott Kuhn and partner, Chef Chris Hodgson’s latests endeavor Cibreó Italian Kitchen.

The mix of rustic Italian and simple flavors made this dining destination feel like a special overnight escape to Tuscany. The interior space has been transformed into an Italian villa enhanced with stone archways, candlelit walls and even a barrel-clad bar which Scott had a hand in building himself.

The evening’s five course tasting menu included a delicious sausage+porcini+bean soup, a family-styled mushroom risotto, a bolognese pappardelle (my personal favorite, featured in photo) a pork Osso Buco and to end the evening a sweet gelato to cleanse the palette. It was seriously Italian dining perfection!

Best part? Cibréo is offering a Monday night special deal; 2 for $40 which includes a shared appetizer, a bottle of wine and 2 entrées…who wants to go next week? They also offer a wonderful happy hour Monday-Friday from 3-6pm, perfect for a pre-show treat.

Cibréo is part of the Driftwood Restaurant Group along side some of the other greats like Washington Place Bistro and Hodge’s. It has a lot to live up too but I assure you it will do just fine, it truly is a work of culinary art all around. I can’t wait to go back!
