A casual girls night out on the rooftop of Punch Bowl Social

PunchBowl_2

Happy Friday you guys. Looks like it’s gonna be a nice weekend, with a chance of rain on Sunday. I kinda feel that now that Halloween is over, the holiday events and celebrations are coming one after the other. I LOVE planning evening’s out to celebrate friends and connect with those who I maybe don’t get to see a lot. How about you? Love those holiday parties? The months of November and December I also kinda feel like it is totally okay to wear sequins all the time, which I LOVE. As you know I love to thrift shop and can’t pass by the opportunity to pick up sequins whenever I’m presented with those tiny drops of metallic goodness. Sequins pants, skirts, tops and dresses…come on Holidays…I’m coming for ya! I digress…

A couple of days ago I had the total pleasure to kick off holiday fun with the coolest group of friends at the newly designed and installed Punch Bowl Social rooftop bar. We all met up after work, had some great “punchy” cocktails, took in the view of downtown, had some yummy tacos (because it WAS a Tuesday!) and we may or may not have enjoyed a bit of karaoke too.

I kinda felt like the rooftop patio was the perfect place for all of us to get together a bit off the beaten path and celebrate Cleveland and friends both new and old. We talked about work, about kids, about what was exciting our creativity (that might have been the punch talking!) we laughed a lot and even left at a responsible time to make it home for This Is Us!

PunchBowl_7I loved the way they served their goat cheese spread in small mason jars…I’m totally going to try this at Thanksgiving for sure. I also thought their tacos were pretty good, but I am kinda a fan of ALL tacos, so I am biased.

Thanks Punch Bowl for the incredible Girls Night Out! We loved hanging out with you and your team and your new rooftop is super awesome. I foresee many parties their in the future…bring on next summer. CLE if you are looking for a great place to throw a shower, a special work party, if you are in charge of planning a cool conference in town and need a large space for showing off the city, this rooftop has it all.

Girls Night out at Punch Social CLE

47Okay friends…do I have a fun one for you! So the other night I had such a blast with a few of my favorite gal pals out for a girls night at the Flats newest hot spot, Punch Bowl Social! We gathered there after work for a cocktail at their swanky bar and enjoyed their  new spring creations…delicious!

101518From there we explored the entire entertainment venue from top to bottom including their restaurant, the arcade, the various seating nooks, the karaoke rooms, dart areas, mezzanine…we even saw the new rooftop bar that will be opening this summer!

Punch Bowl brings that “old school” nostalgia together with incredible craft dining and drinks for that perfect, unique night-out experience.

After a few great drinks and munchies (OMG I’m still thinking about their califlower nachos) we headed into our own private karaoke room for a few hours of singing fun. From the old school hip hop, to 90’s love ballads, to the top hits of today, we literally sang until we could belt out no more.

After all that singing…and a “touch of punch” we hit up a bit of Miss Pacman, some darts and a little of shuffle board. All in all it was a night out filled with good laughs, lots of silly play and great drinks with the gals. If you are looking for the perfect one stop destination for fun, grab your pack and get down to Punch Social Club today!

(New stickers for a new year…SO FUN!)

Happy Monday everyone. How was your weekend? Honestly, I can’t believe it’s mid January already. These last few days have been filled with purging from last year and planning for a year ahead. We’ve been starting to make vacation plans for the year ahead (gotta love having things to look forward too!) We’ve been immersing ourselves in magazines and Pinterest getting inspired with regards to planning for our kitchen remodel. I’ve been trying to stay the course eating well and working out a bunch. So far this year is really shaping up nicely. Isn’t it awesome that at anytime (and especially the beginning to a new year) we can reset and make new goals? Love it!

When it comes to goals I always like to make three lists. I’m a compulsive list maker in general but these January lists are super important in keeping me on track for the entire year. I revisit the lists, rework them, and concede when something needs to adjust to the master. My three lists are Home, Life and Work.

The home list typically involves any home improvements I want to see to our space. Typically this includes painting this or that, remodeling or redesigning a room or maybe it’s as simple as buying a new comforter or towels.

The life list is usually the longest – filled with personal wellness goals, travel goals, and even goals about new hobbies or interests I may have.

Then work goals are just that, since I own our design studio this list is important to making a successful work year. I have lots of input on this list of goals from my staff and we try our best to revisit it thought the year in order to ensure we finish the year with a solid, most creative year behind us.

While it might sound like a lot, my three lists are what make me happy. As a creative person it is very easy for me to get distracted and want to change direction at any given moment, knowing I have mapped out a year filled with goals keeps me engaged and on track.

How about you guys. Have you made your lists filled with goals for the new year? I’d love to be inspired by some of your goals, do share!
