Good afternoon Cleveland. Wasn’t last nights snow so pretty? While many of us navigated the slick roads home with white knuckles, this mornings shimmer on the ground made it so worth it. Last night I was able to go out and complete my shopping for my family stocking (we randomly choose one family member every year to do their stocking) as well as cross off a few other key gifts. I would say I’m 89% completed with just a few more special things to pick up.
Last weekend I invited a few gal pals over on Sunday morning for a chance to catch up during the busy holiday season, drink some holiday cheer and get a jump on our holiday wrapping. It seriously was such a relaxing way to spend time together I would highly recommend such a gathering.
I was able to get all the necessities at “my Tarjay” prior to the ladies coming over. We had candy cane flavored coffee complete with whip cream and peppermint sticks, some homemade blueberry muffins, a few Simply Balanced granola bars and fruit snacks and of course there was chocolate…lots of it!

Happy Monday to you. How was your weekend in the 216? All good here, more home improvements, got my run on, Browns game in the sunshine, dining out and time at work…all makes me a very happy camper.
While I normally don’t share much about my work life, last week was such a wonderful example of how friends outside of work came together to celebrate summer, small business ownership, local artists and a sweet donut maker. I had to give them a shout out!
Thanks to some of my lovely social friends for supporting our graphic design business; Chartreuse Inc. and it’s 4th Annual Art in the Parc client (& friend) appreciation evening here at the studio. It was a wonderful event, filled with shopping, networking, cocktailing and yes…plenty of mini doughnuts!
I feel very lucky to have a wonderful group of supportive friends in this CLE-community that I couldn’t even imagine what life would be like in any other city. I love this city, I love being a small business owner and I am so appreciate of all of the wonderful friends I have; Thanks guys!
Have a great week everybody. Looks like it’s gonna be a hot one. What to wear? Summer clothes? Fall clothes? I can’t figure it out…
This past weekend I had the opportunity to take a Saturday, 1-tank trip to Columbus. The skies were bright blue and while 71S was swarming with police cars we managed to make it there in just over two hours with no stops.
We arrived to a quiet Columbus starting our morning with breakfast at North Star Cafe on High Street. Not only was the breakfast yummy, the unlimited magazines and people watching was even better. After breakfast we headed to the new Rothko exhibit at the Columbus Museum of Art. It was awesome, a three room intensive on the life of the artist and how his works once more figurative morphed into intense color studies. Also along with the Rothko exhibit there is this fascinating exhibit of Czech puppets on display in the other galleries, almost as cool as Rothko, but also sorta creepy. You have to check it out!
