Hey CLE. Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great, “HOT-in-Cleveland” weekend. Ours was filled with a few picnics, birthday parties, a visit to the Taste of Tremont and wrapping up the weekend with a family trip to Mitchell’s to celebrate National Ice Cream Day!
This week ahead is gonna be another good one, summer in the city is really turning out nicely. Exploring things as a young family is giving me a new perspective on our city. From coffee shops and cafés to a quick run into “tar-jay” I find Clevelanders extra friendly when Ninja Max is in tow. Honestly, around this time last summer I didn’t know how I would ever be able to leave the house with a bambino, but now I realize how warm and welcoming people and businesses are to Cleveland families, I feel like I can go anywhere and do anything with my little sidekick. Thanks Cleveland!
Now onto today’s little discovery…speaking of NinjaMax…a few weeks ago we celebrated his first birthday and while his Seattle Auntie made him the perfect smash cake I was in need of sweets for the crowd. When I was in the throes of wedding planning I came across this adorable little cake studio and I had been meaning to check it out, this was the perfect opportunity. Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes made us the most beautiful and yummy smores cupcakes for the birthday celebration.
When I went to pick up the cupcakes I was thrilled I had discovered Kelsey Elizabeth as her studio was adorable. He examples of cakes were gorgeous, her other cupcakes and macarons were delightful and her overall decor and furniture simply perfect.
Next time you are in need of cupcakes or a pretty little party cake, I highly suggest you go check out this lovely little small business. Seriously, her work is super dooper sweet! Have a great week, explore and enjoy this tropical heat wave! Cheers
