Tri-C JazzFest : 1 pair of tickets giveaway!

Hello CLE friends. Is everyone as crabby about this rainy weather as I am? I was at Trader Joes, at the check out when the other customers were also complaining about the weather…but then the guy at the register said: “I guess it could be worse…it could be snowing!” TOTALLY! I had to laugh about this one! He is so right…thank goodness it is ONLY rain!

I love it when I have something fun to giveaway here at “IHeartCLE!” and today is a really good one. One lucky reader/follower will win a pair of tickets to his or her choice to any of the shows at this years Tri-C JazzFest. We are looking forward to seeing one of my personal faves; BellaFleck on Friday night.

This summer’s 40th anniversary of Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland, presented by KeyBank — takes place June 27-29 at Playhouse Square — and will celebrate Cleveland’s contributions to jazz over the decades while presenting a mix of iconic and emerging artists.

The main event includes a lineup that features nine ticketed concerts in Playhouse Square’s historic theaters. Headliners for the shows include Tower of Power, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones, Dianne Reeves, Christian McBride, Regina Carter and more.

Tri-C JazzFest also features nearly 24 hours of live music showcasing the best of Northeast Ohio with eighteen exciting acts promise to keep the music pumping from the Strassman Insurance Stage on Euclid Avenue at East 14th Street. The free outdoor performances run 3 p.m. to midnight June 28-29 when JazzFest overtakes Playhouse Square.

Full schedule of outdoor performances & events

Happy Friday friends. Looks to be another AMAZING weekend in the CLE. Since many of you are asking…there is nothing happening on the baby-front as of yet. Yesterday was the official due date and so now we are just playing the waiting game. A couple of you have also inquired about the nursery design and I promise to get some shots of the space once I can move around a bit better to style the little man’s room for photos.

  Giveaway : Tri-C JazzFest

Good morning CLE & happy TAX Day! Hope everyone got by without owing too much to “the man” this year. Perhaps you’ve even received a refund…time to shop! :)

Did you know that this week kicks off the JazzFest? Last year I had the pleasure of attending the Tri-C JazzFest for the very first time. I saw the very talented, stunning and engaging artist Diana Krall at one of the many concerts during the week of live music presented by the JazzFest.

Now is your turn to win a pair of tickets and experience for yourself just how great this annual event really is.

Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland features jazz performances, classes, lectures, and many other concert and community outreach activities. Local and national artists teach, compose, arrange, and perform. Concerts take place at PlayhouseSquare, the Metropolitan Campus of Cuyahoga Community College, and the new MOCA Cleveland. This year, the show is running from April 19 thru May 4.

In addition to the show, there is an Opening Night Party on April 19 to kick off the festival! The party will be held at Playhouse Square in the State Theatre Lobby from 5-7pm and is sponsored by Great Lakes Brewing Company. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature live music by Detroit’s Nadir & Distorted Soul. After the party, the fest will kick off with performances by Aaron Neville and Dr. John at 8pm!

So you want in? Want that free pair of tickets? Visit the festival site to explore the performers, then tweet me @iheartclev  which artist you would like to see at this years  #TriCJazzFest. Winner to be chosen by  Wednesday, April 17th! Good luck.
