Hello there and happy new week to you! Congrats to so many of you who tied the knot on Saturday, such a perfect wedding day, weather-wise. For those of you who planned a beach-day for Sunday, well perhaps you were able to binge watch Orange is the New Black like we did? Yep we watched the entire second series in one weekend…don’t judge it actually was sorta awesome.
The other day I had the opportunity to grab lunch at the city’s newest hot spot; Urban Farmer at the Westin. While we didn’t have an official reservation (they recommend you call ahead for a table, even at lunch) we managed to snag seats at the communal lunch table with funky lime green benches.
We started lunch with a charcuterie board of the house-cured meats, mustards, jams and mini pickles. Then I decided to indulge and dive into an english muffin-topped hamburger and fries.
While I ended up taking half of the burger home for lunch the next day-too super full…I would recommend trying it out.
The interiors of the new restaurant space are filled with unique artwork, reclaimed wood and walls of picked vegetable and vinegars. It has a warm atmosphere that designer David Ashen put together to give the feel of a restored farmhouse within our industrial city. The space is very unique and super comfortable.
Next time you are looking for something a little new, but with a familiar-type of menu (many meat entrée’s) I would suggest checking out the new kid in town; Urban Farmer…Oh, and I hear they have a great brunch as well!
