Hello & happy Monday all you amazing Clevelanders.
I hope everyone was able to get out and catch a film at the Cleveland International Film Festival. I saw a handful of films, all different and all inspiring in their own way. I cried, ate Twizzlers, parked in the spooky Tower City Parking Garage (aka “Dungeon”) and enjoyed all of the hustle and bustle of the film energy. It was a wonderful year for films for sure. Thank you to the festival staff, I can’t imagine planning and implementing such an event, great job!
Speaking of different and inspiring…I have 2 tickets to the second annual, TEDxCLE event, Friday April 15th at Capitol Theatre. These coveted tickets were graciously given to me by co-organizer, Hallie Bram. Tickets for this event went on sale a few weeks back and managed to sell out in less than a few hours, this giveaway is really special. Thanks TEDxCLE!
For those of you wondering what this event actually is…let’s just say, seeing is believing. It’s a day where you can sit back and be immersed in the true passion, the brilliance and profound “big thinkers.” It’s a day of inspiration to take time out to listen and absorb the wonders and successes of other North East Ohioans. After last years TEDxCLE event I had a rush, a surge of enthusiasm and sky’s the limit approach to life! It was a wonderful day.
This year is sure to be filled with just as much, if not more passion for Cleveland, for the arts, for innovation. I’m really looking forward to hearing from Rhonda Sincavage on ways to revitalize older cities. Another yummy talk should be presented by Jonathan Sawyer, Cleveland native and chef wonder boy…with his insightful “debunking food myths chat.” Those are just two of the panelists, for more visit the “talks section” of the TEDxCLE site.
To win ONE of the two tickets leave a comment on who you would like to see speak at NEXT YEARS TEDxCLE event. Someone doing something great, something inspiring and otherwise super uber interesting. Please include your name and email address. The winners will be selected on Monday, April 11th. GOOD LUCK & happy monday!
