Bring on the Holidays!

Can we talk about Tuesdays snowstorm in Northeast Ohio? We lost a bunch of trees around our home due to the weight of the ice on the branches. Man, I wish all the snow was around when I took these holiday pics! But all in all, I was decorated and ready before the snowstorm…so bring it on Mother Nature, I am ready for the holidays!

To decorate the side-door entry, I used our summer planters and filled them with holiday greens from our neighborhood. I purchased the red and white holiday swags from Joann Fabrics. I also pulled out our vintage Santa wood cut-out to add a touch of festive cheer to our side door. I purchased this Santa over 20 years ago from a live auction in Parma Heights. I remember waiting and waiting until this friendly fella went up for sale…I “won” him for $12! Money well spent.

Cheers to making your home holiday ready. If you are looking for free greenery, head outside, with so many tress down from the storm, our street tree lawns were filled with bunches of fresh greenery for the taking. Happy holiday decorating!
